“That’s what I’ve been – I say, that’s what I’ve been telling you, boy! I am a chicken!”

That’s a quote from Foghorn Leghorn – the cartoon character.  Foghorn is also what I called our biggest chicken – who last night became our dinner.

I will go into more detail on my smokin’ page, but since my wife posted my picture of foghorn on the smoker, I thought that I would take a moment and attempt to post the picture in this post.

It was fun to eat a bird that we raised ourselves, and it was tasty, too.  I will be taking his carcass (if we hadn’t raised him and processed him, I would be calling him an IT, because I would have had no way to know anything about him) and boiling down to make some tasty stock, which I will be using to make a batch of chicken and noodles for our enjoyment.  I’m getting hungry just thinking about it…
